Description
This part is the STATOR ASSEMBLY (Item #7 in diagram). This part is supported between the Sensor Endbell and the Shaft Endbell using item #1 screws.
Diagram and all parts are HERE.
The stator is the core of all RC car brushless motors, containing multiple groups of wire strands wound inside. It features three poles of wire strand* groups, and the number of wire strand groups on each pole is called 'Winds.' Motor winds are used to identify the general specifications of the motor. Motors come in various winds, such as '10.5t' (10½ winds of wire on each pole) or '8.0t' (8 turns of wire on each pole), and so on.
You will receive one stator assembly (for one Talon motor).
The stator assembly is a stack of iron laminations held together generally with insulative adhesive. The Talon stator has corrosion resistant coating on the outside too. Works will all Talon motors.
*Note: I use the term 'wire strand groups' because some stators have two or more wires grouped together (a single wire is a 'strand'). Even though two wires are wound together, each rotation (or wind) around a stator pole counts as one rotation (one wind), no matter the number of wires in the group.
