Description
Description
This is the standard R5, R6, and R7 sensor boards which is inside the non-shaft end of the motor. Requires disassembly of the motor for replacement.
The sensor board sends signals to the ESC so the energy is applied at the proper time during rotation. If the motor exhibits hesitation during operation, remove the sensor cable completely and see if the motor is smooth (you may have to push the car to get it to start). If it is smooth without the cable, then install a new (different) sensor cable, and test again. If the motor shows the same symptoms of hesitation, then a sensor board change is required.
If you return the motor to us (see "Motor Services" at top of web page), we will install, fit, test and tune the motor at no additional charge other then return shipping.
There is an alternate sensor board (orange in color) used for some motor/rotor applications to allow more precise location of rotor in the stator field. This is used occasionally in my Team build when I am searching for that perfect rotor setup. It may be found by clicking HERE.
