Talon Motor Parts: #1 Case Screws

This part is the three 45mm long socket head screws (Item #1 in diagram) which ties the motor together. Diagram and all parts are HERE. You will receive three screws.

There is a variety of materials available for these screws which will impact the overall performance of the motor. Using the screws to tune the motor is a secondary consideration for modified motors (use gearing and timing first) and primary for the Stock Spec motors. Please note that finish color may vary from batch to batch.

• Steel: Good choice for consistent, very smooth performance, and cost effective in Talon motors. Used as standard in almost all Talon motors. Good torque, acceleration, and top speed. Excellent on less-than-optimal track surfaces. Keeps the modified motors very smooth throughout speed range.
• Aluminum: Performance enhancer in all Talon motors, especially in the Stock Spec motor winds. Very good on grippy tracks. Motor is still smooth but with extra acceleration out of corners. Excellent top speed and torque.
• Titanium: Very similar performance to aluminum but allows reduction in overall motor weight especially when used with titanium endcap screws.
